Training and careers

PAPSTAR currently employs around 250 people in administration, warehousing and the vehicle fleet. Our central goals include motivation, career advancement and the resulting long-term commitment to the company.

Not a job, but a vocation

Stay close to the pulse of the times; constantly thinking ahead in order to be able to constantly meet the sustainability-related challenges of the market: a self-imposed challenge that PAPSTAR is happy to meet - eyes wide open, with the necessary constancy, but above all transparently and authentically.

Recognition, empowerment
and attractive benefits

PAPSTAR fosters maintaining a mindful approach to one another at all times- mutual recognition and empowerment are crucial in every relationship and as a consequence in every communication, especially in times of crisis, but also in every interaction in everyday life. To attract the loyalty of our employees, attractive benefits, like a company health insurance and pension scheme, holiday and Christmas bonuses, employee discounts, the bike buying scheme “JobRad”, parking spaces, free drinks and a canteen serving fresh food every day are of great importance.

Prevention
and health promotion

PAPSTAR faces up to the challenges of demographic change with a health management system that is lived in practice. Our ultimate goal: not only to make sure our employees remain healthy, but to improve their health lastingly and effectively. Numerous actions have already been called into life to achieve this, including cardio and back courses in cooperation with a neighbouring fitness studio, promotion of the “JobRad” concept for buying a new bicycle, investments in supporting technology to reduce stress-inducing incidents that are a risk to health (warehouse, vehicle fleet).

Strong
identification potential

PAPSTAR currently employs around 250 people in administration, warehousing and the vehicle fleet. Our central goals include motivation, career advancement and the resulting long-term commitment to the company. Over 50 percent of the workforce has been employed at PAPSTAR for more than 15 years, most of them since they completed their training. This represents a key competitive factor that goes hand in hand with a high potential for identification. It was and still is clearly noticeable how well established quality of staff loyalty is in this respect, not least during the Corona pandemic.

Training as a pointer
for the future

The future and productivity of a company depend largely on the quality of its training: this is why PAPSTAR offers supplementary in-house training measures to make sure its trainees receive the best possible support. A total of more than 30 young people are currently undergoing training, spread across eight occupational fields (commercial professions, IT, logistics, fleet). But also the topic of further and advanced training has also proven itself to be a central element of sustainable development, which is why it is being accelerated from department to department.

BE A PAPSTAR - An intranet that boosts motivation

Know what's going on! This simple message forms the focus of transparent internal communication. The BE A PAPSTAR intranet presence provides a platform for constant exchange, communicating topics of interest and providing the templates used for daily communication, and connects departments and even geographical locations. Last but not least, it establishes the breeding ground for thinking actively beyond the (cardboard) plate of one's own responsibilities. BE A PAPSTAR intranet presence conveys a sustainable and pronounced sense of WE to bind all employees even more strongly to the company.

Skilled Occupations

For PAPSTAR to be able to rely in future on highly qualified employees in times of a shortage of skilled workers, in-company training has always given a particularly high priority. The best qualifications for taking up training include a willingness to learn, reliability, flexibility, communication skills, a careful approach to your work and, depending on the job you perform, good PC skills using Microsoft Office.
