In a cross-departmental process (environmental and sustainability management/media and communication) and with the involvement of the new B+P Agentur GmbH, PAPSTAR GmbH's new sustainability report has now been finalised.
"Meeting environmental challenges with sound expertise" - for Managing Director Tom Kantelberg, there is no question that PAPSTAR GmbH is fully aware of its responsibility to society and the environment in order to ultimately comply transparently with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in the areas of environment, social and governance (ESG).
In addition to the general promotion and implementation of sustainable business practices in its day-to-day work, the company primarily uses its new Sustainability Report 2023/2024, which has now been published for the fifth time in a row since 2019: 40 pages long, based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN) and once again divided into the five central areas of action "Employees, Products, Environment, Networks and Processes".
Circular economy as a solution
This is accompanied by an extensive company portrait, an interview with Professor Dr Torsten Weber, a nationally and internationally recognised expert on sustainability issues, and a number of best practice examples relating to circular material flow management. PAPSTAR successfully implemented several projects in the reporting period, including the Eifel Oldie Night, the marathon in Mainz and together with the professional clubs "Kölner Haie" (ice hockey) and SWD powervolleys Düren (volleyball).
A wealth of facts and figures based on the latest analyses, a sustainability slice and awards such as the AC² Innovation Award Aachen Region, the Sustainability Award of the Aachen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the German Design Award 2024 for the new "serving solutions" testimonial campaign round off the overall publication.
